Darling.

Unpredictable, explosive, sweeter than sugar, cuter than kittens. She is an an artist, a nerd, and a sleep-talker. She’s sarcastic and you probably could never find a way to creep her out. She works work hard, and plays harder. She pronounces “orange” differently from most people, she’s clumsy, and her hair is really ridiculously long. She spends a lot of time drinking coffee and alcohol, and at 18 years of age she lives in Saratoga Springs, New York, USA.

Helen.

She’s one of those people who have more than one personality, which is not to say she’s got multiple personalities. She is still banging her head against the walls at Helsinki Univeristy, apparently studying English Philology and slanting towards Welsh literature - it’s fascinating I tell you! She thinks idleness really is an art form, which in essence means exploring the boundaries and limitlessness of existence and consciousness and imagination. Not to mention the sea at night, and jumping on rapidly melting ice floes. She is 28 and lives in Tallinn, Estonia.

Angela.

She wears her heart on her sleeve and her emotions on her face. She hums or whistles while doing tedious chores and talk with her hands, a lot! She loves flip flops, they aren’t fashion forward, but they are Fabulous. Then kissing, books, the 4 seasons, board games, laughing til you cry, rough housing, and the Montreal Canadiens. She has a great memory, but this is sometimes a blessing and a burden. Angela is 37 and lives in Montreal, Canada.

Nya.

She often goes to 13th district, in the Chinese district, looking for food or wooden sculptures. There, she always looks at a strange painting on a wall, next to a big store: a green cat with an eye in its mouth and a woman wearing a red hairy coat with an owl head. Fascinating and scary, she loves it. She even likes Stephen King, Edgar Allan Poe, Charles Baudelaire, Hayao Miyazaki, Tim Burton and wrestling. Louis.

He’s a freelance writer, which means he will pretty much write anything as long as you pay him. At the moment most of his time is spent reviewing, recapping, and interviewing for a major TV website. His business card says he’s a “pop culturalist”. He doesn’t really know what that means, but it sounded a lot less whore-y than “private dancer,” his first choice. He’s not nearly as awkward as he pretends to be, but he likes little buffer of self-deprecation. Louis is 23 and lives in Berkeley, California, USA.

Beth.

She is waiting for pale to come back in style and she’ll try most things once, very few things twice, and some things never. She loves to sing, has been doing it for as long as she can remember, and she loves random facts, science and psychology. She drives fast, she is loud, she loves doing random things like going to New York City at 11 at night, or driving to Cape Cod and watching the stars from the beach. She loves animals, her favorites are dogs and penguins, and sometimes all she needs is a little Frank Sinatra. She loves Harry Potter and she cleans when she is bored. Ben.

He’s good at reading, listening, teaching, research, driving, moving furniture, watching entire seasons of TV shows in one sitting, relearning the trumpet, relaxing and learning. Sometimes he is good at cooking. The six things he wouldn’t do without in life are: the internets, good speakers, movies, a library card, friends, and swisher grape “cigars”. Stella Monroe.

She has mad passions for numerous television series’, make-up, junk jewellery, quirky clothes, shoes and music. She smokes but only to help control her weight, and works full time as a Showroom Assistant/Design Consultant for Wickes which isn’t her dream job, but it’s going to help pay for her dreams of becoming a professional Photographer.
